There’s no snow on the ground just yet, but visitors to London Bridge’s festive market Christmas by the River might still be able to spot a snowman or two on a festive sculpture trail inspired by Raymond Briggs’s classic book and animation ‘The Snowman’.

The ‘Walking with The Snowman’ trail will feature 12 giant snowman sculptures found among the market's 70+ stalls. Designed by 12 talented artists, each sculpture is based around a line of the festive song ‘The 12 Days of Christmas’.

Christmas by the River will also be hosting a series of family workshops to celebrate ‘The Snowman’s arrival in London Bridge City, including a snowman storytelling, and themed arts and crafts events.

Visit the website for a full programme of Christmas activities and to download a map of the sculptures to take part in the trail yourself.

It might not be walking in the air, but it’s the next best thing!
