As the heatwaves roll on, London’s barbecue restaurants are firing up their grills.
Time Out has just updated its list of the best BBQs in the city – because it’s only right that chargrilled meats should be eaten al fresco on balmy summer evenings. Whether you’re after Texan style platters, Jamaican jerk or Korean live-fire cookery, our list has you covered.

Found in the enormous beer garden at Garden Bar & Grill in Kensington, Cue Point has been one of London’s best-loved eateries for a decade. So it’s only right that it finally gets its flowers. The open-fire eatery fuses Afghan flavours with a Texan feasting menu, and has been stationed at several locations in London over the years, including Walworth’s Orbit Brewery and a recent stint off Brick Lane. Now though, grill-masters Mursal Saiq and Joshua Moroney have found a forever home in W10.
Described as ‘so good it almost makes you want to laugh’ by Time Out food and drink editor Leonie Cooper, must-try dishes at Cue Point include the fist-sized brisket burnt end skewers, the trademark Texas naan and an oak-smoked lamb shank, served with perfumed Kabuli pilau. But the non-negotiable order is the Wagyu brisket steak, which Cooper called ‘the best barbecue we’ve ever eaten on UK soil’. lon
