One of the best smash burger stands in London is branching out.
Parisian burger pros Dumbo opened a first UK outlet last summer in Shoreditch and are now bringing the winning formula to Soho. This is good news, as the last few times we’ve swung by the east London location, the queue has been epic.
Dumbo’s second London burger joint will be opening late summer at 37 Berwick Street and will serve the same sleek cheeseburgers and fries as their Bethnal Green Road location. Count us in.
Dumbo ranks pretty highly in our top burgers in London list (and topped the ranking last year). Our last visit saw us praise the ‘perfect charred lacy crust on the edges of super succulent dry-aged beef.’ The double patty smash burgers are bulked out with gleaming American cheese as well as tangy, plump pickles and ketchup and mustard. Dumbo also offers a vegetarian ‘Earth burger’ option, as well as fries and nuggets.
Dumbo was founded in 2019 in the Pigalle district of Paris and now has a number of burger joints across the city (as well as an outlet in Milan).
Find London’s second Dumbo at 37 Berwick Street, Soho, W1F 8RS, pretty soon-ish by the sound of things.
