Not booked anything for Valentine’s Day yet? You’re cutting it incredibly fine, my friend.
Don’t stress, though – your other half never needs to know that you panic-booked somewhere with two days to go. We’ve done the dirty work to find out which of the most romantic restaurants in London still have tables up for grabs on February 14.
The reservations still available are mostly for breakfast, brunch or lunch, but beggars can’t be choosers. At the time of writing, these are all of London’s most romantic dining rooms with tables left for Valentine’s Day 2026.
The most romantic restaurants in London that you can still book for Valentine’s Day 2026
Noble Rot, Mayfair
Noble Rot’s elegant main outpost in Bloomsbury and its sister spot in Soho are both booked up on V Day, but it has a third, equally as lovely restaurant in Mayfair that still has some slots left. You can still reserve a table for two on its outdoor terrace between 12pm and 2.30pm and indulge in its great value set lunch – £24 for two courses or £28 for three.
Kettner’s, Soho
With its plush velvet booths, white taper candles and regal decor, French restaurant Kettner’s has witnessed more than 150 years of romance. Most famously, it’s where King Edward VII wooed his mistress Lillie Langtry. While there are no tables left for anyone after an atmospheric low-lit dinner, you can still secure a spot for breakfast or lunch between 8.30am and 2.30pm. No, it’s not quite as sexy, but you’re gonna have to take what you can get.
Lao Dao, Walworth
It may not be the kind of place that first comes to mind when you think of romance, but we promise that Lao Dao’s sultry 1930s interiors and Xinjiang-inspired menu will put you in the mood for love. There are still plenty of bookings available there on Feb 14. Right now, Lao Dao has tables up for grabs between 12pm and 3pm, 5pm and 5.30pm and 8.30pm to 9.30pm.
Mount Street Restaurant, Mayfair
Extremely chic and very expensive Mayfair dining room Mount Street is impressive enough that your date shouldn’t mind waking up bright and early on a Saturday in order to get a Valentine’s Day table there. It currently still has open bookings for breakfast from 9am or brunch from 12.30pm until 3.30pm. At brunch, you’ll still be able to order its show stopping, made-for-couples lobster pie.
Twenty8Nomad, Covent Garden
The Hilton’s Twenty8Nomad restaurant still has afternoon tea or brunch spots available at 2.30pm and 2.45pm and standard dinner slots at 4pm and 4.15pm. There are also two tables left for the Valentine’s Day set menu – one at 4pm and one at 4.15pm. The £95 three course menu features chicken terrine, seafood and saffron risotto and strawberry chocolate profiterole.
Balthazar, Covent Garden
It’s too late to organise a trip to Paris for Val’s but a table at Balthazar might be the next best thing. The Covent Garden brasserie is decked out with red banquettes and mirrors, serving signature dishes like onion soup and duck shepherd’s pie. There are still tables waiting to be snapped up from 10am to 11.30am for brunch (featuring croque monsieur and caramelised banana waffle) or at 2.15pm when you can opt for the a special Valentine’s set menu featuring surf and turf for £49 per person.
Fischers, Marylebone
Old school romance abounds at Austrian restaurant Fischers. It has all the distinguished glamour of a Viennese ballroom, serving traditional classics from gröstls and röstis to schnitzel and apple strudel. There are still reservations open between 9am and 3.45pm on Valentine’s Day. If you really want to try your luck, it does reserve some tables for walk-ins.
