Festive food comes in all manner of intriguing guises, so do not worry if the idea of a month-long sprout marathon turns your stomach. From twists on traditional standards to some simply sensational seasonal scran, there are loads of incredible set menu group feasting options in the run-up to Christmas in London this year. Try lavish lobster noodles in Soho, Greek classics in Stratford, Vietnamese favourites in Shoreditch, a special Italian celebration menu at the Big Mamma restaurants, and a mighty pizza collab courtesy of Yard Sale.

West End institution J Sheekey is getting into the Christmas spirit with a festive set menu (£45 for two courses/£55 for three) that focusses on fine British seafood, served until Jan 4, 2026. Start with a twice-baked cheddar soufflé or prawn cocktail, then scoff a pan-fried halibut with tarragon mousseline, scallop and Champagne sauce or a seasonal chicken with port wine and thyme jus, and buttered sprouts. For pud you can have gingerbread ice cream with clementines or a Christmas pudding soufflé. Classy stuff.

Collaboration is one of Yard Sale Pizzas USPs, and this Christmas theyre going big and teaming up with one of the citys best restaurants – Quality Chop House. Their festive Mince Pie special is a tribute to QCHs famous mince on toast. The pizza comes tropped with beef mince, beef dripping sourdough breadcrumbs, jalapeños and a drizzle of mustard dressing. Find it at all Yard Sale locations (to eat in or order to your sofa) until Jan 6, 2026.

Gloria and the rest of the Big Mamma group of OTT mega trattorias (Circolo Popolare, Ave Mario, Jacuzzi, Carlotta, and Barbarella) are all offering a Feast di Natale menu for groups of eight or more this Christmas. Starting at £64 a head, the Italian menu features crocchette milanese with veal tartare, truffle taglioni, spaghetti con gambero rosso, and not one, but two wellingtons (beef and monkfish). For pud they will deliver three sweet treats; torta, pistacchio-misù, and mini profiteroles.

Come to this surprisingly festive hangout in a dusty car park next to a brewery and the Dusty Knuckle bakery for a special live fire Christmas menu. Served family-style, groups will be served up coal roast leeks with pistachio romesco, pumpkin hummus, cranberry, macadamia and roasted jerusalem artichokes with fresh ricotta and yuzu-truffle honey, as well as a sharing main of either herb-fed chicken with guajillo-lime butter and BBQ parsnips (£45 per person); smoked lamb shoulder with date molasses, creamed chickpea and fennel-kumquat (£55) or 50-day highland beef chop with a garlic and pecorino butter (£75). Add on Tamworth pigs in blankets with quince-apple mustard and sage for an extra £9.

Both the original branch in Shoreditch and the younger Soho sibling of this London Vietnamese classic are offering a seriously good set menu this Christmas. Available until December 31 and for £55 a head (based on a minimum of four sharing), the offering includes lamb neck curry, waterfall fried chicken, crab soup, chilli and salt squid, spring rolls, steamed sea bass, chargrilled beef, and banana fritters and coconut ice cream for pudding. Not quite your traditional festive fare, but delicious nonetheless.

Ever-reliable burger chain Honest Burgers is getting stuck in with a cheap and cheerful set menu. For £21.50 you can have a camembert Christmas burger with cranberry sauce, bacon, fried Camembert and rocket on top of a double smashed beef, classic beef or fried chicken patty. (There is also a vegan Shamembert burger with a Beyond Meat patty and La Vie fake bacon). The set meal also comes with rosemary salted chips, as well as bacon gravy, coleslaw or a green salad, and a soft drink, with a booze upgrade for an extra £2.50. Festive!

This spin-off from Angela Hartnett’s Michelin-starred Murano in Mayfair is offering an Italian Menu delle Feste throughout December. Find it at the four Cafe Murano locations (St James, Marylebone, Bermondsey and Covent Garden), with the likes of spiced delica pumpkin with buffalo mozzarella and radicchio, venison ragu with polenta, and roasted stone bass with mussel minestrone on the menu. Things get super seasonal for dessert, with panettone bread and butter pudding. The menu is £33 for two courses and £38 for three, and you can get it Monday to Friday from 12-3pm and 5-7pm, and all day Saturday until 7pm.

Pop off to this Middle Eastern grill house on Great Portland Street for a slap up seasonal sharing offering for £60 a head. The menu includes seven different mezze dishes (pear & endive salad with almond tahini, spiced pumpkin falafel, smoked duck with walnut tahini, and more) to choose from, as well as mushroom shawarma, saffron-marinated joojeh kebab or grilled tuna skewers with preserved lemon and coriander chermoula. Sister venues Honey & Co Daily and Honey & Co Bloomsbury are also offering similar festive spreads.

Have yourself a Greek-style Christmas at Hera in Stratford with a £44/55 December set menu that includes feta saganaki, grilled sea bass, truffle ravioli, and galaktoboureko for dessert. Pump the pricve up to £65 a head and then you can take your pick from more high end offerings, from orzo porcini, to black seafood spaghetti, and lamb shoulder.

Come to both the Wardour Street and Spitalfields outposts of Noodle and Beer for a seasonal Sichuan special of a whole lobster served with handmade blanket noodles and rich house sauce. At £99 for 1.1kg of lobster, it serves up to four (just remember to order it in advance). Then add on courgette fries, chicken dumplings, and crispy beef jerky to quell any lingering hunger pangs. and brown sticky rice cakes to finish.
