There aren't too many National "Whatever" Days we can get behind, but donuts? Everyone can get behind donuts. We love them so much we're throwing a whole party dedicated to them (It's on June 11! You should come. Check out deets here, and score tickets here). And tomorrow, June 3, National Donut Day is bringing us all together in one unified, donut-loving front. Hooray!
To celebrate the sweet, sweet day, a few donut shops and restaurants around the city are offering deals to commemorate the sugary treat. Start your morning off at one of these participating locations:
SK Donuts: Make a purchase at SK Donuts and you'll receive a free SK tote bag—plus, part of the proceeds will go toward the Salvation Army.
Spudnuts Donuts: Visit any Spudnuts location and you'll score a free donut with any purchase. Basically, it's two donuts for the price of one, which adds up to the best Friday ever.
The Donut Man: Fans of the Glendora shop can stop by for a raspberry-filled donut, which is being discounted to $1.
Donut Farm: It's all about a complete meal at Donut Farm—with every donut purchase, you'll receive a free cup of coffee. The deal is only available to the first 30 customers, so be sure to show up early!
Bob's Coffee & Doughnuts: All military personnel, police officers or firemen in uniform will receive a free donut at this stalwart shop at the Grove.
Krispy Kreme: Free. Donuts. Need we say more? (Actually, we do—it's limited to one free donut per person, so contain yourself.)
Plan Check: Plan Check recently launched a brunch menu, and to honor National Donut Day they're offering their new breakfast donuts ($5) and fried chicken and cruellers dish ($12) all day long on Friday. The donuts will be available at each of the three locations (Fairfax, Sawtelle and Downtown).
ICDC: The beloved Beverly shop is bringing back a couple favorites tomorrow: a birthday cake donut and a caramel bacon pretzel donut, two specials that will be gone by the end of the day.
Dunkin' Donuts: Love it or hate it, Dunkin' Donuts is in Southern California to stay—and on Friday, they're offering a pretty sweet deal; purchase any beverage and you'll receive a free classic donut of your choice, while supplies last.
