L.A. is no stranger to, well, Stranger Things. The nostalgia-drenched Netflix series has popped up in one form or another here in recent years: a “drive-into,” a carnival, an ice cream shop, a retail pop-up and a haunted house, among them. Now, a bit of Hawkins heads to L.A. yet again for Stranger Things: The Experience.
After touring in New York, London and San Francisco, this immersive show heads to L.A.—or rather, Montebello—starting November 19. Part multimedia experience, part arcade, part bar, part retail shop, the little-bit-of-everything event includes familiar locales from the horror show like, yes, the Upside Down, as well as the Palace and Scoops Ahoy. Our friends at Time Out London described it as “a very fun hour of fan service,” albeit one with “a glacial start.”
You’ll find the event from Netflix and Fever at a shopping center in Montebello (1345 N Montebello Blvd) just off the 60, where similar experiences have been staged over the past year or so. Tickets go on sale Thursday, October 6 at 9am and start at $49.
