Time Out says

Billie McCarthy takes up a lot of space – and she's not going to apologise for it. This cabaret tells the story of how a precocious fat kid became an intimidated young woman, and ultimately a badass boss bitch.

She's tired of the word fat being used as a weapon and is ready to turn shame on its head. The show is funny, acerbic, witty and ready to challenge preconceptions about what women – and fat women in particular – should be.

Billie McCarthy Takes Up Space was a hit at Sydney Fringe last year and will be at Melbourne Fringe for one night only.
