The French Riviera is set to come to Federation Square with the arrival of a pop-up bar from Grey Goose vodka – the Fountain of Goose.
For five afternoons in December, the Fountain of Goose will be dispensing complimentary Vodka, Lime and Soda mini-cocktails from a grand bar that replicates the white marble finish and sculptural look of a European Baroque fountain.
The fountain looks like it could have dropped in from Saint-Tropez. Blue-striped umbrellas and deckchairs will offer a très chic place to lounge while enjoying both your complimentary drink and French-themed, ‘out of the blue’ performances that will occur during each of the pop-ups.
To keep the fun going, tokens will also be given out that can be redeemed at Madame Brussels, Ludlow Bar and Spice Market for another Grey Goose cocktail. Grey Goose coins to toss into the fountain will also be given away.
Originating in the Cognac sub-prefecture of western France in the 1990s, Grey Goose is made using premium French wheat and spring water filtered through limestone, and has often been named the best tasting vodka in the world. Your complimentary Vodka, Lime and Soda is a classic, simple, refreshing serve that shows Grey Goose to its best advantage. To see it for yourself and enjoy a well-deserved (and Insta-friendly) moment of luxury and hedonism, head to Federation Square from Saturday December 7 to Wednesday December 11. Be aware that the opening hours will vary: 4-8pm on the weekend and 3-7pm Monday to Wednesday.
