Time Out says

Dazzle the kids with this magical show presented by Yirramboi Festival and ArtPlay

The biennial First Nations arts and culture festival, Yirramboi is returning for 2021 and is packed with over 150 fantastic events all over the city. Crumbs, a bold family-friendly theatrical experience, is a program highlight popping up at ArtPlay on May 8, 9, 15 and 16.

Written by Nyoongar and Burmese playwright NazAree Dickerson and directed by award-winning artist and Trawlwoolway man Nathan Maynard, Crumbs takes a look at survival and identity through the lens of two conflicting kids. Follow Frankie as she builds a magical cubby and tries to share its splendour with her neighbour, Ash. The two soon realise they have different intentions for Frankie's special place and embark on an epic and hilarious battle for country and crumbs.

Crumbs is perfect for five to ten year old kids and their families. The play goes for one hour so is ideal for little attention spans and tickets are only $15 for adults and $10 for children and concession. On May 8 at 3pm, ArtPlay and Yirramboi are holding a special free performance for First Nations families and community to enjoy. For all other sessions book your tickets here.
