Time Out says

Shopping with kids can be a horror show, as every parent knows, but this Halloween the Springvale Homemaker Centre, Australia's largest homemaker centre, is making little monsters welcome with the Springvale Spooktacular.

Whether costumed as a witch, wizard, ghost, superhero, animal or regular small human, kids can take part in a free centre-wide Trick or Treat. A marvellous magician will amaze with feats of magic, balloon experts will be crafting animals, and make-up artists will be face painting the kids to turn them into the creature of their choice.

The fun begins at 2pm and goes until 6pm. To collect some free treats, kids only have to turn up with a bag or container to store them in and register before 5.45pm. No bookings are required.

There's a prize for a social media post too. Share a photo of your Trick-or-Treat adventures using #springvalehomemaker and the winning costume will win a $200 Springvale Homemaker Centre gift card.
