Back in the day (ok, so 2019) ending the working week at NGV Friday Nights was a surefire way to start your weekend on the right foot.
Things might have changed since then, but the NGV is still pumping out a rad Friday night for you, shutdowns or no. NGV Friday Nights In is a series of fortnightly DJ sets filmed within the many spectacular galleries of the NGV.
With a setting so stylish, you can bet that the musical talent is just as swish. The series has lined up three DJs, starting on July 31 with the multi-talented Soju Gang. The fashion designer and DJ is known for lighting up dancefloors with a mix of 80s and 90s R'n'B and hip hop, and will be streaming her set from the NGV Australia exhibition Marking Time: Indigenous Art from the NGV (read more about the exhibition here).
Then on August 14, Lucreccia Quintanilla (aka DJ General Feelings) will have her set broadcasted from the NGV's Federation Court. The final Friday Night In will feature Bertie who will be sending out house, disco and electronica beats.
The sets are free to watch and can be streamed from the NGV website, Facebook or YouTube.
