Gumbuya World might once have been known as “where the city meets the country”, but this November it will be where you meet all your favourite musicians from the late 1990s and early 2000s. The amusement park is launching a new music event called Sounds of Nature, and the line-up is stacked with blasts from the past.
Leading the time warp is the one, the only Daryl Braithwaite. The singer of ‘As Days Go By’ and popular equine-banger ‘The Horses’ will be joined by Vanessa Amorosi, who is undeniably loved by “absolutely everybody”. The line-up also includes Australian rock royalty Jon Stevens (of INXS and Noiseworks fame), Thirsty Merc (of Bondi Rescue theme song fame), X Factor alumnus Reece Mastin and celebrated country guitarist Phil Ceberano.
There are various seating options available depending on your budget. If you’re opting to sit on the lawn, bring a picnic rug or a low lawn chair (nothing that will obstruct the view for others). Or luxe with a VIP ticket and get marquee access, snacks and a drinks package.
Tickets for Sounds of Nature are available now.
