Live music and food trucks will be taking over the inner southeast this January
After the success of the previous five years, Sunset Sounds is back in full force bringing free live music and food trucks to tranquil parks and gardens across the City of Stonnington (spanning the inner southeastern suburbs of South Yarra, Prahran, Windsor, Toorak, Armadale, Kooyong, Glen Iris, Malvern and Malvern East). For three balmy Sunday evenings, performances from artists spanning multiple genres will be sounding through the trees.
It all kicks off with five-piece funk and synth band Vaudeville Smash, who will be supported by The Seven Ups at Victoria Gardens, Prahran on Sunday, January 6. Thando will be firing a fun evening with some help from The Meltdown at Central Park, Malvern East on Sunday January 13. Finally, seven-piece funky brass band Horns of Leroy will round out the series with support from The Twoks at Malvern Gardens on Sunday January 20.
On the food front, look out for food trucks from SPQR Pizzeria, Nem N'Nem Food Truck, Golder Poffertjes, Something Sweet Gelato, Tapas Hermanos, Street Feast and coffee from Miss Fluer.
So pack your picnic rug and settle in for an unforgettable evening under the summer sky.
