Live music and food trucks will be taking over the inner southeast this January

After the success of previous years, Sunset Sounds is back in full force bringing free live music and food trucks to tranquil parks and gardens across the City of Stonnington (spanning the inner southeastern suburbs of South Yarra, Prahran, Windsor, Toorak, Armadale, Kooyong, Glen Iris, Malvern and Malvern East). For three balmy Sunday evenings, performances from artists spanning multiple genres will be sounding through the trees.

It all kicks off with R'n'B and hip hop act Billy Davis and the Good Lords, who will be supported by Tanya George at Victoria Gardens, Prahran on Sunday, January 5. The Northern Folk will be firing a fun evening of big sound with some help from Rach Brennan and the Pines at Central Park, Malvern East on Sunday January 12. Finally, the silky smooth, bluesy vocals of Emma Donovan will round out the series with support from Laneous at Malvern Gardens on Sunday January 19.

On the food front, look out for food trucks hawking everything from fish and chips, wraps and cheese platters to gelato and ice tea. Pack your picnic rug and settle in for a lazy (and free) evening under the summer sky.
