As part of the Asia TOPA festival, Academy Award winner A.R. Rahman is presenting a concert of highlights from his career, accompanied by the Melbourne Sydney Orchestra and the 30-strong Polyphonic Voices choir.
Rahman will play piano, alongside vocal soloists from Opera Australia and international guests S. Navin (flute) and Asad Khan (sitar).
The program will include music from his Bollywood classics, as well as his Academy Award winning ‘Slumdog Millionaire Suite’ and song ‘Jai Ho’. Besides Slumdog, Rahman’s list of Hollywood credits includes 127 Hours and Elizabeth: The Golden Age.
