Just when you thought we had reached peak Melbourne, this happens. Melbourne’s first op shop bar has opened in Footscray, offering punters the opportunity to shop for pre-loved threads while sinking a couple of cold ones.
Doss Closet is a collaboration between East 9th Brewing and Jerome Borazio’s (of St Jerome’s fame) Footscray bar Lickety Split. Every Thursday to Sunday from October 3, guests can pop into Doss Closet (located inside of Lickety Split) to browse and buy the second-hand clothes lining the bar walls. Doss Closet also features Melbourne’s first Shufl shuffleboard tables for when you need a break from the fashion.

All proceeds from the sale of clothes will be donated to Polished Man, a charity that works to end violence against children. The bar is open from 4pm until late every Thursday to Sunday from October 3.
