Traditional Indonesian forms meet contemporary dance in this piece by EkosDance Company

Choreographer Eko Supriyanto developed this work after spending two years with the youth of coastal Indonesian town Jailolo, and observing their relationship with the area's endangered coral seascapes.

Working with seven local young men, Supriyanto created a fusion of traditional Javanese and contemporary dance that expresses their natural environment, their connection it – and their hope that it can be saved.
