Time Out says

Step aside, Australian Idol. Sashay away, The Voice. Put down the mic slowly, The Masked Singer. Midsumma’s newest spectacular at Chapel Off Chapel is an unpredictable song contest to rival all song contests.

Cabaret queen Dolly Diamond (Kerrie and Dolly, ABC News Breakfast) has converted the theatre into a television studio where, each night she will put celebrity contestants through their paces. Special guests including Bob Downe, Silvie Paladino, Rhonda Burchmore and Lucy Holmes will be transformed into their musical icons, performing the songs and taking on the look of their idols – and this can be any music superstar, alive or dead.

Dolly Diamond’s Star for a Night is on for five shows only from April 21 to 24. Full priced tickets are $37.90 and you can get them here.
