It’s time to dust off your spandex, air out your leotards and don your best legwarmers because Barkly Square is celebrating its 35th anniversary with an ‘80s-themed dress-up bash from Friday, September 7 to Sunday, September 9.
The event will kick off with a street party at 5pm on Friday and feature ‘80s tunes and a 'Cocktails and Dreams' style bar. Saturday and Sunday will feature a bunch of craft workshops, including badge-making and puff painting, as well as aerobics sessions hosted by Miss Clarissa. Throughout the weekend there will also be a hair and makeup studio offering free beautification session to polish off your look. And you'll want to look pretty fresh as there will be prizes for best dressed, too.
To top it off, JB HI-FI is putting together a vintage record and movie store, and McDonald's are even offering their own ‘80s throwback by selling $1 cheeseburgers for the weekend.
