Learn all about cheese at Prahran Market

Anthony Femia is better known for melting cheese at his Maker and Monger cart in Prahran Market, but the trained cheesemonger knows a lot about cheese. The former cheesemonger at Spring Street Grocer is putting his knowledge to good use at Behind the Rind, a workshop where fans of the creamy stuff can learn all about the four main styles of cheese and the story behind their different flavour profiles.

Behind the Rind workshops participants will be able to taste delicious cheeses, while Femia talks through everything from preparing the perfect cheese board and sourcing the best accompaniments like nuts and sweet pastes, to finding cheeses that are suitable for pregnant women or cheeses for people who are lactose-intolerant (see all hope is not lost!).

The session costs $30 per person and includes four cheeses (of course), a complimentary glass of wine, and a tasting booklet. Book your place in store at Maker and Monger or via email on hello@makerandmonger.com.au.
