Is Melbourne harbouring the next big thing in Korean pop music? The Changwon K-Pop World Festival wants to find out.
There are heats in countries all over the world, and wannabe K-pop stars perform for a panel of judges for their chance to travel to South Korea and compete in the festival.
The events are for non-Koreans to try their hand at singing or dancing, and the final in South Korea will be broadcast around the country on KBS, the national broadcaster of Korea.
The Melbourne preliminary round will be held at Deakin Edge at Federation Square, and entry is free to watch.
