Like many creative disciplines, mosaics look deceptively easy to create. Fortunately for any budding mosaicists artist Deborah Halpern is running a two-day workshop over Easter that will teach you all the basics about mosaics.
Even if you're unfamiliar with Halpern, you're probably familiar with her art. For years her sculpture 'Angel' lived outside the National Gallery of Victoria (it's since been relocated to Birrarung Marr), while her work 'Ophelia' welcomes visitors to Southgate. By the end of the two-day workshop Halpern will have you creating mosaics like a pro, and you'll get to take home the 60cm×60cm ceramic mosaic panel you've created.
