Time Out says

Update March 16: Due to the coronavirus pandemic, this class has been postponed.

Anyone who has read or seen any Harry Potter knows wielding a wand is a tricky business. Do it right, as Hermione always does, and your teapot is transfigured into a hedgehog, lickety-split. Do it wrong, and your teapot grows spines and legs and crashes off the table, as always seems to happen to Ron. And that's a simple transfiguration spell – don't even get us started on tricker things like wingardium leviosa, stupify or other duelling spells.

The fight choreographer who taught Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson and the rest to wield their wands in the Harry Potter films is coming to Melbourne to teach you how to use a wand properly. The free masterclasses last for 45 minutes, and at the end, you'll get a wand mastery certificate.

They are being held inside Myer Melbourne's Harry Potter concept store, in the basement of Myer. While there, you can also buy things like toys, gifts, stationery, costumes, homewares and clothes. If you don't have a wand already, you can buy one there – and remember, the wand chooses the wizard.
