For one weekend the arthouse cinema will be selling movie tickets and snacks at 1987 prices

Palace Kino Cinemas will be heading back to 1987 to celebrate their three decades in Melbourne’s CBD. From June 23 to 25, movie tickets at Kino will be selling at 1987 prices at $6 and you can complete your movie-going experience with cut-price snacks: $3 choctops and $1 popcorn. The cinema screens will be showing some of the most successful films in Kino's 30-year history alongside recent releases. Film buffs will also be able to score a free vintage film posters from the cinema's archives.

Expect to see the 1985 queer comedy drama My Beautiful Laundrette and Like Water for Chocolate (1992), which stayed on the Kino line-up for 76 weeks. Film buffs will also be able to score a free vintage film posters from the cinema's archives.
