The Immigration Museum is putting a splash of mystery and magic into Valentine’s Day this year. Bring your beloved down to the museum for a romantic evening all about the libations that put you in the mood.
Love Potions and Aphrodisiacs explores the history and myths behind foods and ingredients commonly thought to induce love and lust. The night is hosted by bartender and storyteller (and Time Out superstar) Fred Siggins, who will show guests how to expertly mix a love potion (cocktail) for themselves. You’ll also get to taste romantic morsels and get access to the museum's current love-themed exhibitions: Love, Kahlil Gibran: The Garden of the Prophet and Grow, Gather, Share.
The museum will also be open until 9pm on Valentine’s Day for any loved-up couples looking for date ideas more interesting than 'dinner and a movie'.
Love Potions and Aphrodisiacs is an adults-only event, but you don’t need to be in a relationship to attend: singles, couples and groups of friends are all welcome to attend. Tickets for the event are available now via the Immigration Museum website.
