Time Out says

Celebrate a festival of peace with contemporary Muslim music, art, culture and cuisine

Learn new traditions and celebrate Muslim culture at Salamfest. Revel in the music and rock to some mystic Muslim beats while experiencing the contributions that the Muslim community make to Melbourne. The festival takes place over two dates and two locations.

Saturday, November 30 takes place at Federation Square where you can take part in yoga, listen to drum beats and enjoy the Turkish Mehtar Band. Wrap up the night with some comedy by Izzy Ali and lose yourself in the sounds of  the Mystic Sufi Qawwali Ensemble while overlooking the sunset at Fed Square.

Continue your cultural journey at Queen Victoria Market on Sunday, December 1 where you can taste food from Muslim cultures. Salamfest is free to attend.
