Tastemakers and festivalgoers are set to gather together for an opening launch that will truly kick off Taste of Melbourne in style.
Taking place in the festival’s new location (Yarra Park at the MCG) the knees-up will celebrate the festival's 10th birthday, reflecting on a decade of Melbourne’s culinary excellence and the city’s ever-evolving food trends, while tasting a glimpse of the festival’s new vision to create collisions between cuisine and culture with unlikely collaborations. There will be free-flowing wine, a customised dessert surprise from Glacé owner Christy Tania and a DJ set from Miss Goldie. A full line-up of chefs will be on board prepping canapés all night long. Yarra Park will also be totally transformed into a foodie haven, furnished with Persian rugs, chesterfield lounges and a huge dancefloor.
