Had a romcom-worthy date at the Ian Potter Centre that ended in marriage? Fallen flat on your face while running to a screening at ACMI? Spotted a Real Housewives of Melbourne cast member at one of Fed Square's glass-fringed restaurants? Well, Fed Square wants to hear from you. They've just launched an intriguing web forum called The People's Square to collate all the magical and memorable memories Melburnians have of the famous inner-city hub. And they're looking to reward one lucky winner with an ultra-special prize package for their trouble.

The People's Square is a buzzing digital whiteboard that will continue to grow as people enter their memories. Explore the page and find your fellow Melburnians' musings on Fed Square, which has been such a centrepiece of our city's arts, culture, social and dining activity, providing a kaleidoscope of experience for almost two decades. The best memories will also be displayed around Fed Square with the chance for some of the most creative entries to be immortalised as a published illustration.

The best of the bunch will win an incredible Golden Ticket Prize Pack for two people to enjoy. Share your illustrious tale and you could be off on an exclusive, behind-the-scenes private tour of the labyrinth between Fed Square’s cobblestone deck and the train tracks two levels below. You'll also get a fancy VIP lunch at Fed Square, a $1,000 gift pack and your memory illustrated by an artist and displayed throughout the square and website. Two runners-up will also get their memory illustrated, published and displayed for all visitors to Fed Square to enjoy.

So start cooking up your story and be part of Fed Square's 2021 brand refresh. While you're on the website, be sure to check out a series of mini-documentaries that celebrate the square's contributions to city life here.

The People's Square competition runs until June 30. Find out more and enter your memory here.
