If anyone has benefited from Victoria's (seemingly) neverending lockdown, it's dogs. Our best friends now get at least 40 per cent more cuddles, 30 per cent more walks and up to 60 per cent more time with their favourite humans.
But although it's fun to hang out one on one, sometimes we need to see other two-legged friends and their four-legged companions. Gourmet Pawprints, which organises day trips for dogs and their owners, is holding a virtual gin and food event on Saturday, September 19.
Each of the 30 participants will receive a hamper comprising three Animus Distillery gins and matching tonics; a Silver Penny chocolate, fig and orange pudding with chocolate velvet sauce; and a personalised dog treat.
On the night, the team from Animus and from Silver Penny Puddings will guide everyone through their hand-crafted products in a virtual class, and of course dogs are encouraged to join in the call to see their pals. The Gourmet Pawprints team will also be running dog-themed trivia, and there will be prizes up for grabs.
