Enjoy a charcuterie board, two bottles of wine and a duck ragu – that you cook yourself

For many of us, spending so much time at home has meant spending a lot more time in the kitchen. But this many months in, your recipe repertoire might be starting to get a little stale. 

Yarra Valley winery Rochford Wines is here to save your tastebuds with a live virtual pasta and pinot cook-a-long on September 25. 

Rochford executive chef Raki Andriana and winemaker Kaspar Hermann will be running the class, which will teach you how to make a perfect duck ragu, matched with a perfect pinot noir.

Everyone in the class will receive a hamper pack delivered to their door, including a charcuterie board comprising prosciutto, hot and mild salami, cornichons, caper berries, sourdough bread, lavosh and everything you need to make Venetian duck ragu. And of course, it includes two bottles of pinot noir: Rochford Estate pinot noir 2019 and Rochford Single Vineyard Dans Les Bois pinot noir 2018.

Andriana will give you step-by-step instructions as to how to make the ragu, while Hermann will teach you about the complexities of pinot noir and why it's perfectly suited to the terroir of the Yarra Valley. 

The workshop and hamper pack is $172, including delivery in Melbourne and the Yarra Valley.
