Any beef lover knows the fatty delights of wagyu and the price tag attached to it. The same could be said for Japanese whisky, a category which has climbed in price and shrunk in production in the last few years. The team at Bincho Boss are marrying the two in a five-course wagyu-themed dinner matched to five Nikka whiskies presented by Nikka ambassador and whisky expert, Kevin Griffin, all for $125. We reckon that's a pretty great value.
Expect to eat your wagyu sashimi-style, on skewers, in the format of nigiri and cooked over charcoal. The whiskies poured on the evening will be the Taketsuru Pure Malt, Single Malt Yoichi, Single Malt Miyagikyo, Nikka from the Barrel and the Coffey Grain Whisky.
There will be only 50 seats available for this whisky and wagyu dinner on Thursday, November 28 from 6.30pm and needless to say, tickets are essential.
