Melbourne's biggest vegan festival takes off at the Melbourne Showgrounds

World Vegan Day celebrates the best things about a plant-based lifestyle with a showcase of the best vegan food and products, live music entertainment, and activities such as speed dating, expert talks and fitness and cooking demonstrations.

Vendors will be cooking up a vegan storm at the food stalls. Expect treats from the Grace Coffee and Cake Caravan, the Chocolate Yogi, Von's Vegan Bakehouse, Zebra Dream ice cream, Babou juices, and so much more. There will also be plenty of vegan food retailers, so bring the shopping basket and sort out your pantry goods at the festival.

The event will also include live events and activities such as cooking demonstrations from Melbourne's best vegan cooks. Get some new workout tips and tricks from the fitness zone, where health and fitness professionals will show you what plant-fueled fitness is all about. Vegan Voices will see speakers take the stage to talk about topics ranging from ethical food choices, the environmental impact of animal industries and biodiversity.

Kids are welcome at the event, there will be activities suitable for all ages all day. Kids will be able to sit in on craft activities, live performances, cooking workshops, and story time.

Entry is by gold coin donation.
