When we think of Rockefeller Center activities, a totally massive chocolate Christmas tree isn't what first comes to mind. However, thanks to the great minds at GODIVA, we'll get to see one this season! On November 29 from 9–11am at GODIVA Rockefeller Store (52 West 50th), you'll get to experience a 7.5-foot chocolate tree lighting complete with carolers (the New York Holiday Choristers) and free petit four samples for the first 250 visitors (free, we tell ya!). There will also be decadent hot chocolate to keep you nice and toasty!

With the help of Chef Thierry Muret and Chocolate Genius (yes, real title) Paul Joachim, the GODIVA Christmas tree will be made from 225 lbs of chocolate: that's 1,500 GODIVA petit fours. It will be displayed in the GODIVA Rockefeller store window when completed, and people can tweet at it starting eight days after the tree lighting to change its color or pattern (@GODIVATree from Nov 29 through Dec 8).
