Last year's hot toy Hatchimals may have been the talk of 2016's holiday season, but don't think it's going anywhere just yet. The company is taking its popular toy one step further with the release of Hatchimals Surprise, which features twins. Yes, ladies and gentlemen, one egg + two Hatchimals = your kid's dreams come true. That is, if you can get your hands on any of them.

Different from the original Hatchimals, the twins have built-in sensors that allow them to interact with each other. They'll sing, dance and rock in response to one of their noses being pressed, and they'll also get sad when they're apart for too long.

These Hatchimals also continue to speak through their own made-up language, but they can repeat up to a three-second sound bite from their human owners. Expect to see six new species: GiravensPeacatsPuppadee (Toys"R"Us), Ligull (Target), Deeriole (Target) and Zuffins (Walmart).

Big retailers include Toys"R"Us, Target and Walmart ($69.99), but you'll also find resale Hatchimals booming on eBay, too. We'd also recommend visiting our favorite local toy stores (did you know a new one just opened in Brooklyn?) and adorable local book stores in NYC for other fun holiday finds.

Good luck, parents!
