The most wonderful time of year is upon us, friends: New York City Restaurant Week (Jan 22–Feb 9). Though it is a perfect opportunity for adults to indulge in a budget-friendly meal (lunch for $29 and dinner for $42), tiny tots need a little attention in the dining department, too. Here are a few locations that you’ll love and that’ll get your little one acquainted with the NYC foodie scene.

Massoni

You and your tiny dining partner in crime will sneak bites of each other’s meals with Massoni’s prix fixe lunch menu, $29. While you go the adult route with either salad or soup for an appetizer, the meatballs with garlic knots will be the way to your kid’s heart (no judgement if you opt for the same). No kid can go wrong with pizza as a second course, and you have the option to get a bit more daring with bucatini or an Italian combo sandwich. Helpful tip: Order both the cannoli and assorted ice creams for dessert and split the sweets. Book a table here.

El Vez

Classic guacamole and chicken quesadillas are always crowd pleasers, and they make for perfect options if you’re dining with little ones. El Vez’s prix fixe dinner menu, $42, provides three delightful courses. No one at any age is going to refuse that chocolate bread pudding at the end of your outing (although your kids might opt to hold the pecans). Book a table here.

The Writing Room

While you’re starting on risotto or smoked St. Louis ribs for dinner ($42), get your kiddo going with the soup of the day, or perhaps the tri-colored salad if he or she isn’t terribly opposed to greens. Country fried chicken will be a hit for your little buddy when the main course rolls around (you can opt for fish or steak). The desserts will really be a draw for little ones: a hot fudge brownie. It’s a tough call between that and New York-style cheesecake. Book a table here.

Tender Steak & Sushi

Give your kids a taste of Japanese flair with Tender Steak & Sushi’s lunch or dinner menu. No doubt, they’ll gravitate toward the avocado fries and chicken BLT. Also, can any child pass up chocolate mousse for dessert? Adults might have a difficult time saying no as well. Book a table here.
