Our go-to New York toy store is stepping into academia.

Beginning this weekend, shoppers can attend online classes for kids via FAO Schwarz's Academy of Wonder. Professor Abracadabra and Professor Atlas, both of whom are outstanding and renowned educators, are ready to guide children through fun courses, including "Magic 101: Abra-Apprentice" and "STEM 101: Booms, Ooze and Riches." Each course is $60 and is broken up by level and ages, starting at 6 years old. Offerings reveal what students need to participate, whether it's a particular science kit or just a quiet place at home to practice those magic tricks. We already have a feeling this will be an A+ experience.

“We continuously evolve our brand with new and international offerings to stay on the cutting edge of toy trends and in the hearts of kids everywhere,” FAO Schwarz Chief Merchandising Officer David Niggli said in a statement.

The magic continues online with other fun activities, including a virtual personal shopper and digital FAO Theatre performances. Shoppers can expect similar happenings in-store, including a new Sharper Image studio and new plush collection from Steiff and National Geographic, which submits proceeds to wildlife conservation. And, if you're perusing the toy aisle, be sure to check out FAO's new collection with Target—awesome and affordable gifts that'll make the holiday season extra special.
