To celebrate Teacher Appreciation Week (May 6–10) and the North American debut of Norwegian Cruise Line's 15th ship, Norwegian Joy, you can nominate your child's favorite teacher for a free seven-day cruise during the Giving Joy campaign. The clock is ticking: Kids and parents have until April 12 to cast their votes, according to a press release. There will be a total of 15 teachers in the U.S. and Canada who score the prize of a week-long cruise for two and receive an invitation to attend an awards ceremony in Seattle on May 3.
But the fun doesn't stop there. Even kiddos have a chance to reap the benefits. According to Norwegian Cruise Line, one teacher will receive a grand prize of $15,000 for his or her school. We have to say, this does sound awfully enticing.
"Through our Norwegian Cruise Line Giving Joy campaign, we celebrate the power of education and travel, and reward teachers who have taken responsibility for our future, our children and who lean into that responsibility with all they've got," Andy Stuart, president and chief executive officer of Norwegian Cruise Line said in a statement.
