NYC kids (and, let's be real, adults too) have been waiting ever so patiently for the city's first snowfall of the season. Don't get us wrong: We've been very grateful for the unseasonably warm temperatures, but judging from this week's forecast, it looks like our December dreams of snow-topped trees and pretty flurries might become a reality!

According to the National Weather Service, there's a 30 to 40 percent chance that we could be seeing snow between Friday night and Saturday afternoon. Lows on Friday will be 28 degrees, and lows on Saturday will be 31 degrees. While there's no telling how much snow we might get, here are a few fun ways to spend the weekend if it does:

1. Check out NYC's coolest sledding hills! There are tons of great picks in each borough with varying steepness.

2. Grab a cup of delicious hot chocolate from one of our favorite local shops.

3. Browse our list of the coolest winter activities for kids, including plenty of excellent indoor activities for kids.

4. Explore our top things to do with kids this weekend, which includes Saturday and Sunday events.

5. Hit up our favorite snow tubing parks nearby...because tubular.
