Although the calendar says "February," we've got May on the brain—and NYC attractions are 100 percent to blame.

Adventures at Governors Island is gearing up for the 2018 season, and its updates will make you completely wish the winter away. In 2017, visitors were treated to rock climbing, a maze challenge and a 300-foot zip line, according to reps at NY Carousel Entertainment. Now, the zip lining promises to be longer than before when it reopens on May 1. Prepare for extra adventure—this will be a summer for the books!

"We know its community of returning and new visitors will find Adventures at Governors Island a preferred choice for recreational family-fun," Beau Berni, Managing Director of NY Carousel Entertainment said in a statement, according to a Governors Island website blog post. "The 300 feet Flywire Zipline, giant Amazen’ Maze, and Climbing Challenge walls will all return along with more comfortable amenities for our guests.”

There is also good news for the not-so-daring. While your little ones are zipping away, you can watch their adventures comfortably on the ground in the new shaded area. Don't forget to pick up a snack for you and your kiddos at the new refreshment station while you wait (just because you're not keen on heights like your offspring doesn't mean you need to miss out on the fun).

A special discounted package for $22 is available when you're ready to make your first trip of the season with your family. See you there!
