Penguins are having a moment.

Let our friends at Time Out Chicago tell you about Annie and Edward, two rockhoppers who were able to roam an empty Shedd Aquarium. Then, Pickles followed (or should we say waddled) their lead in Michigan when the coast was clear, according to Detroit Metro Times

But, we have to admit we're partial to the little blue penguin chicks who were born at the Bronx Zoo in February. While New Yorkers continue to remain indoors, the Wildlife Conservation Society decided to give cooped-up city folk a sneak peek at these new additions via Instagram

This is just the kind of news we needed to see!

Although we might not be able to say hello in-person for some time, we can watch their growth and progress on Instagram highlights. As the WCS says, and we quote, "They are extremely cute"—a fun fact, indeed.

The Bronx Zoo isn't the only family attraction in the city that has brought the fun online: If you and the kids still want to explore your go-to spots—at home, of course—be sure to have a look at our picks for virtual museum tours, online storytimes and live(streamed) events. If the littles have animals on the brain, you'll want to tune in every day at 4pm to Queens Farm's #barncam—we know your crew will love the "Goats on the Farm" segment scheduled for Saturday, Mar 28.
