It looks like congratulations are in order for Muraya.

The Jersey giraffe just welcomed a female calf named Sierra, and her new addition to the Six Flags Safari is as cute as it gets.

Meet the adorable mother-daughter duo.

“Sierra is over 200 pounds and will likely grow to be 1,500 pounds,” Safari Veterinarian Dr. Ken Keiffer said in a statement. “She is the latest in an exciting string of giraffe births here at the safari, and we are thrilled that all four calves are being raised by their mothers.”

The little lady is a reticulated giraffe, a species native to northeastern Kenya, southern Ethiopia and Somalia. Sierra joins the ranks of calves Phyllis, Embu and Soda, all of whom are responsible for the attraction's giraffe baby boom.

This quartet is part of the 1,200 animal attraction that reopened earlier this summer as a drive-through experience. Perfect in the age of social distancing, the Six Flags Safari allows an up-close-and-personal encounter with unique species without interacting with other visitors. If you want to get a sneak peek of the baby animals (like these two new tiger cubs, Heather and Julie) you're going to want to snag tickets to the Safari: The animals are growing quickly!

Be sure to also visit the Wildlife Conservation Society's reopened zoos (the Bronx Zoo is free on Wednesdays) or hang out with the alpacas and goats at the Queens County Farm. Note: The Safari is open daily from 9am–4pm, weather permitting. Tickets will not be sold at the door. General admission during the week is $15 for those 10 and up, $13 for children 10 and under. General admission on weekends is $20 for those 10 and up and $18 for children 10 and under.
