Next month, if you’re doing errands around Columbus Circle (or, starting Nov 29, browsing the Columbus Circle Holiday Market) you might want to drop into The Shops at Columbus Circle in for some free razzle-dazzle. Stars from eight Broadway shows have teamed up with the Shops for five weeks of free public concerts and performances. No tickets or reservations are required. More shows are likely to be announced, but so far the lineup is as follows:

November 14: Cirque du Soleil Paramour, Anastasia and In Transit
November 21: Kinky Boots and Falsettos
November 28: Natasha, Pierre & The Great Comet of 1812 and Chicago
December 5: Waitress
December 12: School of Rock and Beautiful—The Carol King Musical

These free 20-minute performances happen every Monday at 5pm on the 2nd floor mezzanine, while the conclusion of the series on December 12 will be held in the Shops’ impressive Great Room, under the annual holiday display of 12 giant stars. These stars are the largest specialty crafted exhibit of illuminated color display in the world and hang from the 150-foot-high ceilings—with Central Park as the backdrop. In addition, during each performance, one lucky person in the audience will win two tickets to a Broadway show and a $100 gift card to the Shops at Columbus Circle.
