Get a different kind of high as Gallow Green opens rooftop season on 4/20

Consider it a different kind of buzz. Just in time for 4/20, one of the most sought-after rooftop bars in NYC opens for the season. Gallow Green, a hidden oasis atop The McKittrick Hotel, inaugurates its (ahem) high season with a, yes, Herb Festival.

No, edibles won’t be served nor anything else to give you a buzz. But you’ll want to try the new seasonal cocktails and food menu on this always packed rooftop. If you can take your Easter brunch plans outdoors, Executive Chef Pascal Le Seac’h orchestrates a buffet teeming with pastries, fruits and salads. If you have the munchies, however, look to the fried chicken, pizza and burger available during dinner. Cocktails such as the Sleep No More are concocted with pea flower-infused vodka, elderflower and rosé cider. There’s also live music that draws a crowd.

There’s obviously no smoking, but if you’re looking for family-friendly activities, there’s a Children’s Potions & Planting tea party at least one Saturday a month from June to August. For those looking to kick off the weekend at Gallow Green, there are plenty of things do for Easter in NYC—some more green-friendly than others.

Gallow Green is located at The McKittrick Hotel at 542 W. 27th St., NY, NY 10001
