Naturally, we've covered your party plans for NYC Pride, the Fourth of July and beyond. But don't say we didn't give you some culture to boot.

For the 40th year of the Museum Mile Festival, six of our favorite museums will offer free admission on Tuesday, June 12 from 6–9pm. Running down Fifth Avenue between 82nd and 105th Streets, the mile-long stretch will be closed off to cars, with live music, kids' activities and food vendors to keep your spirits high while you bop through exhibitions.

Participating in this year's fest are El Museo del Barrio, Museum of the City of New York, The Jewish Museum, Cooper Hewitt, Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Guggenheim

You can check out some of our top 20 art shows in NYC while you're on the circuit, including The Guggenheim's Giacometti show; The Jewish Museum's Chaim Soutine retrospective; and the Met's "History Refused to Die" exhibition. Plan your bathroom stops accordingly, and pace yourself.
