No matter what team you follow (or don't follow), the Super Bowl is the perfect chance to enjoy ample wings and beer around the screen with your friends. But let's be real–your apartment is likely too small to host a party, so going out seems like the better option. No worry: NYC offers many spots to celebrate the big game so you don't have to miss a single play or the best super bowl halftime shows thanks to the best sports bars in NYC. Better yet, many of them are hosting Super Bowl celebrations with bar food and snacks, plus amazing drink specials so you can have a party without the clean-up. Whether you’re a die-hard fan or just in it for the commericals, here are the best Super Bowl events in NYC this year.

1. Q.E.D. Astoria

Comedy Astoria

Astoria's home away from home is hosting a chili cook off and Super Bowl watch party with comedians. Starting at 5:30pm, cooks can enter their dishes for $10. (You can judge them for $5!) And for the first half of the game (not during commercials or half-time), comedians will provide entertainment with their improvised riffs. Tickets are on sale here.

2. The Stonewall Inn

Go to Stonewall if you're ready for a night of extra Super Bowl entertainment. The landmark bar is having five hours of drag shows, dancing and games with Laila Gulabi and music by DJ Dynamite–all starting at 4pm. Tickets are $8 online.

3. Parklife

Bars Beer bars Gowanus

Catch all the plays on two screens (with sound) at Parklife, which will also set up outdoor cornhole and street curling games if the weather holds out. And take advantage of drink specials from Cigar City Brewing as well as discounts on tacos, queso and desserts. Come early by 5:30pm to take part in football trivia. Watch the game at this expansive space with a 360-degree bar that will be drink and food specials through the night including $30 buckets of beer, a dozen wings for $10 and $10 brick oven Margherita pizzas for those who pay general admission ($10). Bars Gastropubs Midtown

Head to this bi-level Midtown gastropub with four distinct areas for a night of football and food. Watch the game on a 13-foot projector screen while sitting at its 40-foot-long bar, which will be offering $30 buckets of domestic beer, $40 buckets of imported beers and $1 wings (which is minimum purchase of eight wings). Catch the show at Corners, which has three big screens, an open back room and $25 pitcher and wing specials all day. Those who want to get an early start can swing by starting at 2pm for $2 off draft beer, wine and well spirits. After the came, enjoy beer and shot specials and karaoke. Restaurants Contemporary American Chelsea

The Wilson at INNSiDE by Meliá New York NoMad is celebrating the big game in its own way – with puppies. From 3-4pm, The Wilson will be hosting a Puppy Bowl, where five pups will go "head-to-head." Then the real game starts back over on the bar's enclosed patio on an 80-inch screen and on three big-screen HD TVs. Bring a dish to this potluck-style party, which will show the game on a 200-inch projector screen set in front of stadium seating.
