  • Marina Bay

What is it? Singapore’s first attraction dedicated to immersive art experiences, located on the sprawling grounds of Gardens by the Bay.

Why go? Whether you know your Botero from your David Hockey or otherwise, this experiential venue makes art accessible to all: through vivid, easy-to-digest multimedia displays across 12.5-metre-high projection walls, accompanied with sensorial music and futuristic effects. But it’s not just about stories of art history told through ‘gram-worthy animations. There’s also a gallery space dedicated to more traditional forms of art like sculptures and paintings, thus striking the perfect balance between the contemporary and conventional.

Time Out tip: Visit the venue’s Stacked Store gift shop for quirky outlet-exclusive art prints, home decor pieces, tote bags and kitchenware – all inspired by the given exhibition of the moment.

Address: 8 Marina Gardens Dr, #01-24 Gardens by the Bay, Singapore 018953
Opening hours: Mon-Thu 10am-7pm; Fri-Sun 10am-8pm

What is it? A mesmerising indoor attraction at Mandai Wildlife Reserve with five different ‘worlds’ to explore across various eras – even prehistoric times.

Why go? Get ready to shrink to the size of an insect, watch massive dinosaurs get ‘revived’ in real time, and even brave extreme temperatures through realistic simulations of a desert and icy plains. Consider this your ticket to exploring far-flung nature habitats across the world – including those that are physically out of reach for us humble humans – in one spot, while learning more about the creatures that call them home.

Time Out tip: Make sure to catch The Planet Awakens, a dazzling planetary light and sound show that happens in hourly intervals starting from 11.15am.

Address: 80 Mandai Lake Rd, Mandai Wildlife East, Singapore 729826
Opening hours: Mon-Fri 11am-8pm; Sat-Sun 11am-9pm

What is it? Paradise on a ship for all Disney fans. Hop on board for three- and four-night round-trip voyages from Singapore’s Marina Bay Cruise Centre.

Why go? Seven themed zones bring the best of Disney magic through character musical shows, a landscaped fairytale garden with meet-and-greets, thrilling Marvel rides, themed restaurants, a Moana-inspired pool deck, and so much more. There’s also a Duffy and Friends store and stage show – a rare treat since merchandise from this particular Disney franchise is typically elusive on the mainland.

Time Out tip: Note that this cruise does not dock anywhere else mid-journey – not that you’d ever want to leave the non-stop fun on board. But if you’re worried about catching cabin fever, splurge a little more on an oceanview room with a private verandah. Those quiet sunrises right by your bed? Priceless.

What is it? A music hall by global live entertainment company, Live Nation, which is responsible for some of the world’s largest music concerts.

Why go? From the hottest superstars to rising young artistes and local talents, this new 3,000-capacity music venue will play host to a wide range of music acts. It’s more than just about putting on a show, though – there’s also a focus on community with events for like-minded music lovers to gather, a cafe and bar, as well as an artist’s lane that spotlights local creatives and their works.

Time Out tip: Do also check out these other places within easy reach: Trifecta for snow sports and an ice bath; Orchard Central’s free-entry rooftop garden; and DORS for a curated line-up of local lifestyle brands.

Address: Next to Somerset MRT station
Opening hours: TBC – stayed tuned for more updates.

What is it? An independent cinema helmed by the same passionate, fun-loving team that once managed the beloved Projector.

Why go? It’s never your typical line-up of screenings here. Think arthouse films, documentaries, golden classics, the occasional Studio Ghibli flick, and obscure titles you may never even have heard of prior. The latest blockbusters aren’t forgotten, of course.

Time Out tip: Try the freshly popped cinnamon sugar popcorn, and hang around for a post-show swig of craft beer at Filmhouse’s Trailer Bar. The in-house F&B venue also doubles up as a social space for regular events. DJ sets, cool markets with vintage music merch, panel talks by homegrown filmmakers, and poetry appreciation are just some of many past examples.

Address: 6001 Beach Rd, #05-00 Golden Mile Tower, Singapore 199589

What is it? Think Tokyo Drift, but indoors, and at Novena instead of in Japan.

Why go? This Initial D-themed drift carting arena lets you be part of the race action even without a driver’s license, and get this: the entire fleet of cars was custom-made specially for the facility. Weave through a winding track flanked by realistic-looking trees, and spot a replica of Fujiwara Tofu Shop, Japanese road signs, and a takoyaki kiosk. And if you need any further convincing? The concept was dreamt up by a pair of local race drivers, so you know it’s good stuff.

Time Out tip: Don’t go looking for Dorifto! within Velocity mall, because it’s at Level 6A of the carpark. Find your way to Level 6B via the elevator first, then take the stairs down to 6A.

Address: 10 Sinaran Dr, #6A Carpark Velocity @ Novena Square, Singapore 307683
Opening hours: Mon-Fri 12pm-10pm; Sat-Sun 10am-10pm

What is it? Asia’s first adventure based wildlife park, and one of five zoological attractions located within the sprawling Mandai Wildlife Reserve.

Why go? Its previous identity as Rainforest Wild Asia already wowed us plenty with its recreation of natural rainforest habitats – from rocky karsts to gorges – and sightings of free-roaming resident tigers, sun bears, monkeys and more. Now newly expanded, Rainforest Wild Adventure takes things up a notch with canopy ziplines, a suspended treetop bridge with animal friends making surprise appearances, and the debut of the okapi – a four-legged endangered species known as the “forest giraffe”.

Time Out tip: While there, take the chance to dine at Cavern, a mysterious thematic restaurant closely resembling Sarawak’s Mulu Caves.

Address: 20 Mandai Lake Rd, Mandai Wildlife WEST, Singapore 729825
Opening hours: Daily 9am-6pm

What is it? A cultural museum in Kampong Gelam that just reopened in 2026 after an extensive three-year-long revamp.

Why go? Local Malay history is one-of-a-kind; It’s influenced by the wider Malay Archipelago, as well as Singapore’s own unique melting pot of cultures. Lest they get forgotten, learn more about these narratives through six themed galleries and over 270 artefacts, including traditional garments and modern artwork. You’ll also get to know about female Malay culture-shapers who paved the way in fashion, literature, politics and more.

Time Out tip: Feel free to explore the museum at your own pace, but those who’d prefer to delve deeper into the stories of Malay  heritage can consider booking a free guided tour conducted by an expert.

Address: 85 Sultan Gate, Singapore 198501
Opening hours: Tue-Sun 10am-6pm
