October is a great time to rediscover Singapore’s thriving bar scene, and these five venues are giving us fresh reasons to head out. Whether you're in search of a discreet lounge for a late-night tipple or a hush-hush speakeasy tucked behind a tapas bar, there’s something new to explore this month. Those who prefer a more extravagant night out can revel in lavish hotel bars focusing on cocktails or wines. And for the day drinkers, there’s even a no-frills cocktail stand in Joo Chiat that shakes up a single signature drink each month on weekend afternoons.

1. Last Stop

Seasoned barflies will know of East47, the Andy Warhol-inspired bar tucked within the glamorous Manhattan Bar at Conrad Singapore Orchard. Last Stop follows a similar bar-within-a-bar concept, hidden inside the award-winning cocktail bar Last Word along Purvis Street. While Last Word impresses with its minimalist aesthetic, its namesake Last Word cocktail ($30) and wasabi-tinged Bloody Mary ($28), Last Stop is a cosy, living room-inspired space where the cocktails take a lighter turn.

This 12-seater retreat is designed to be your ideal final stop after a night of imbibing. The six creations ($26 each) on its menu are true-blue nightcaps. Think classic cocktails given floral and tea-infused spins. Highlights include a chamomile vodka highball, a genmaicha martini, a peach and earl grey rum cocktail, and a dessert-like chocolate and whisky blend laced with oolong.

Address: 8 Purvis St, #02-01, Singapore 188587
Opening hours: Sun-Mon 8pm-1am; Thu 8pm-1am; Fri-Sat 8pm-2am

2. The St. Regis Bar

You’ll want to get glammed up for a visit to this new destination cocktail bar at the St. Regis Singapore. The glitzy St. Regis Bar makes a bold impression with lush green accents, velvety banquettes and a stunning birdcage-inspired back bar, which makes for a great photo spot.

Drawing inspiration from early 20th-century New York, the interiors are richly styled, while the cocktail list leans more into local flavours. Kelvin Saquilayan is the brains behind the debut menu, Time After Time, and he brings a decade of bartending experience with him. Expect creative crossovers between New York and Singapore, such as the signature Straits Mary ($25), which blends bak kwa-infused bourbon with chilli padi and black pepper. You’ll also find three unique takes on the classic martini ($25 each): one New York-style, one with local flair and a hybrid of the two.

Address: 29 Tanglin Rd, The St. Regis Singapore, Singapore 247911
Opening hours: Sun-Thu 5pm-midnight; Fri-Sat 5pm-2am

3. Gaudí Room

Venture past the lively dining hall of popular tapas bar Carlitos, and you’ll reach Gaudí Room, a pocket-sized speakeasy inspired by Spain’s legendary architect. Yes, Antoni Gaudí, the mastermind behind Barcelona’s iconic landmarks like La Sagrada Familia and Casa Milà, is the muse behind this tiny cocktail bar in Joo Chiat.

Inside, mosaic tables, butterfly lattice woodwork and curved walls all point to Gaudí’s whimsical style. Since its opening in August, the bar has been slinging refined versions of classic cocktails. Try the summery La Sagrada Paloma ($22), espresso martini ($24), the El Mojito Nouveau ($22) and more. Linger in the softly lit space and savour your cocktails over bar bites – a curated selection from Carlitos’ tapas menu along with exclusive items. Highlights include buttermilk fried chicken ($22), bikini sandwiches ($15), padron peppers ($10) and Iberico croquetas ($18).

Champagne and the InterContinental brand go hand in hand. The establishment is home to Singapore’s largest Champagne collection in a hotel, and even launched the world’s first Champagne drive-through last year. After receiving the Wine Spectator 2025 Best of Award of Excellence, InterContinental Singapore is now launching a new wine bar in its Lobby Lounge – the 80 Reserve Wine Bar and Club.

Helmed by head sommelier Hardev Singh, who also oversees the hotel’s wine programmes, this new wine destination is an oenophile’s haven, boasting 505 labels from both Old World and New World producers. Of those, 180 labels are dedicated to Champagne and sparkling wines, including ten magnums and prestigious pours like Moët & Chandon Imperial NV, Reims and Devaux Cuvée D MV. For a unique experience, visit on Thursdays at 6pm and purchase a bottle of Champagne to witness a traditional sabrage ceremony.

Address: 80 Middle Rd, InterContinental Singapore, The Lobby Lounge, Level 1, Singapore 188966
Opening hours: Refer to the hotel’s website for information on opening hours

5. Dutch Door

What happens when you’ve picked up enough street cred in the bar scene to do your own thing? You serve just one type of cocktail per month, for two days a week and three hours each day. That’s what Brandon Grusd and Tom Hogan are up to behind the green facade of Dutch Door in Joo Chiat. The duo have helped to conceptualise some of the most prominent bars in Singapore like Atlas and MO Bar, trained bartenders, and even judged at international cocktail competitions.

At Dutch Door, they channel their expertise into crafting one perfected cocktail a month, with just 100 servings each weekend. Each drink comes with a matching snack. Past specials include a yuzu mojito and spiced watermelon margarita. October’s drink of the month is the Fluffy Mango Piña Colada ($20) – a rich, tropical blend of bourbon, fresh pineapple juice, ripe mango and spiced rice syrup with a coconut marshmallow foam. Do note that online pre-orders are required.

Address: 432a Joo Chiat Rd, Wine Mouth, Singapore 427647
Opening hours: Sat-Sun noon-3pm
