Here's yet another reason to celebrate the Lion City! Singapore has been ranked seventh on this year's World's Best Cities list, according to the latest report by Resonance Consultancy. The annual report ranks the world's best cities with populations of more than a million, using a combination of statistical performance and qualitative evaluations by locals and visitors in 25 areas grouped into six core categories: place, product, programming, people, prosperity and promotion.

The Best Cities ranking has been dubbed by Bloomberg as "the most comprehensive study of its kind; it identifies cities that are most desirable for locals, visitors, and business people alike, rather than simply looking at livability or tourism appeal."

Singapore's Changi Airport received special mention as "one that receives millions of passengers a year but also lures locals with a bounty of designer shops, gardens, gourmet food and one-of-a-kind sights", along with the Moshe Safdie-designed Jewel Changi Airport.

Singapore's reminded us time and time again on all the reasons why she's so great, with a mix of vibrant neighbourhoods each boasting their own appeal, hiking trails for nature lovers, tons of things to do in the city and the best Singapore attractions to visit. After all, the city has set a global example by staying resilient throughout 2020, overcoming challenges such as the 'circuit breaker' period and having the Covid-19 situation under control. We hate to toot our own horns, but this is an accolade that's well-deserved.

Here are the top ten cities in the world:
1. London, England
2. New York City, USA
3. Paris, France
4. Moscow, Russia
5. Tokyo, Japan
6. Dubai, United Arab Emirates
7. Singapore, Republic of Singapore
8. Barcelona, Spain
9. Los Angeles, USA
10. Madrid, Spain
