Last year to celebrate their 100th birthday, Taronga Zoo offered everyone in Sydney $1 zoo tickets, provided they visited the zoo on their own birthday. Now, there are a lot of things that happened in 2016 that we never want to repeat, but that initiative isn't one of them. Taronga felt your animal love last year, and even though their birthday party is over, they're going to keep yours going this year.

“We’re inviting everyone to spend their special day with us and the remarkable animals at Taronga for just $1. It’s our way of saying thank you to the amazing public that continues to support our wildlife conservation work,” said Taronga’s CEO, Cameron Kerr.

To score your $1 birthday ticket you'll need to register on the Zoo's website here. Kerr also wants to remind everyone: "Taronga is not for profit and every zoo ticket, even your $1 entry, helps us to ensure a brighter future for wildlife."

Need more birthday ideas? Why not book one of Sydney's best private dining rooms.
