Sydney Fringe like to open with a bit of a bang: a free musician-curated street festival called 'Fringe Ignite'. This year's party is heading back to Newtown, where Fringe was born ten years ago, and the festival has joined with King Street Crawl to pack every available space on King Street with live music. The south end of King Street will be nice and chill with acoustic sets in shopfronts and cafés (if you've got kids with you, stick to the south), while the north end is where the party will really be pumping.
This year's line-up includes DC Cross, Darby, Elizabeth Fader, Lesmar, Lady King, Little Quirks, Ross Tipper, Taj Ralph, the Good Boys and the Van Demons.
There'll be music from 4pm to 10pm. The full line-up and schedule will be released closer to the event on sydneyfringe.com.
